Welcoming New Members into Our Beloved Community
We warmly invite you to join us for our In-Person Sunday Afternoon Celebration at 1:00 p.m. ET at the beautiful sanctuary of the United Church of Christ at Valley Forge.
This special Sunday will include the joyful welcoming of new members into the Greater Philadelphia Center for Spiritual Living community — a meaningful celebration of spiritual connection, shared purpose, and belonging.
Meditation will be offered from 12:30 to 12:45 p.m. ET, followed by our Sunday Celebration at 1:00 p.m. ET featuring music, inspiration, prayer, and fellowship. During the service, Rev. Mike Gerdes, Board President Linda Moose, and Dr. Maxine Kaye will lead a brief and heartfelt membership ceremony, including a community pledge, a prayer of dedication, and the presentation of membership cards as the congregation warmly welcomes its newest members into our Beloved Community.
Following the Celebration, a special luncheon gathering will be held at Black Powder Tavern, just a few minutes away, in honor of this joyful occasion.

New Member Sunday Luncheon

Following our joyful New Member Sunday Celebration at United Church of Christ at Valley Forge, we invite everyone to continue the fellowship and celebration at a special luncheon at the Black Powder Tavern, located just down the road from the church.
This warm and relaxed gathering is an opportunity to celebrate our newest members, deepen connections, and enjoy meaningful conversation together as a spiritual community.
Be sure to join us during the 1:00 p.m. Sunday Celebration as we welcome new members into the Greater Philadelphia Center for Spiritual Living family, then continue the festivities afterward at the luncheon.
