Welcome to June’s BoT Spot!
The GPCSL Board of Trustees (BoT) met last night for its monthly meeting. As is the case most meetings, we each arrive carrying in our own energy of the day’s events and sometimes challenges. The first segment of every meeting is focused on helping us get centered in who we really are, our appreciation for one another, and the mission of our Center as its own expression and as a part of the Centers for Spiritual Living International Organization. It’s a beautiful thing, and I walk into every meeting looking forward to the renewed energy and peace I experience, as it always washes away any stress or weariness I picked up from a “long day”.
We learn in Science of Mind that what we focus on expands. The BoT meeting experience I just described is an excellent example of this principle.
Our agenda then moves into reviewing, celebrating, and applying creative thinking on matters of finance, membership, classes, Sunday Celebration logistics, outreach, marketing, and upcoming events. We remain focused on serving and growing our community of members and friends. We remain focused on all the good at hand as well as the good yet to be realized. We remain focused on the gratitude we have for our lovingly dedicated minister, Dr. Maxine Kaye, and her impassioned beau, Rev. Mike; our talented and Spirit-led practitioners and all the beautiful members and friends who make the Center smile with their very presence (in-person and virtually) and generous support.
It is a joy-filled and exciting practice to focus on that which you wish to expand in your experience, rather than focusing on what you don’t want. If you or someone you know is looking to experience more community, health, prosperity, love, creativity, or (fill in the blank), I invite you to visit the GPCSL calendar of events and classes at cslphilly.org. I bet you’ll find something there that will get you laser focused!
In gratitude and great love,
Edie Janik
President, GPCSL Board of Trustees
