This coming Sunday is Father’s Day, a time to celebrate the wonderful people in our lives who helped to bring us into being and who influenced us in our growth. Following is a quote of unknown origin: “Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, the not yet dads, the stepdads, the moms who are dad, the adoptive dads, the grandads, and the dads who are no longer with us.” I think that covers most “paternal” relationships; yet, we also look to the Originating Principle of Life that dwells within us all, as we honor the Universal Creator that brings all life into being.

What has been known as, “the masculine principle” is simply the sowing of the seed thought in Mind, whether that of the Infinite or the individual. It is about choosing what to introduce to the “feminine principle” which receives that idea, nurtures, and produces it in form. We are speaking of Divine Mind and Its two-fold nature: Conscious and Subjective. As we utilize this spiritual process clearly, consciously, and compassionately, we become empowered in being “father to our experience.” This is a joyous responsibility we all have been given, and it is a blessing.

There are quite a number of bright, clever, wise, funny nonagenarians that I know and love. Each of them is a delight to be with, and all of them are spiritually and mentally alive. Most are physically active, still exercising, driving, taking care of daily tasks, and even dancing! You see, the Intelligence in this Universe resides within us all, and we are each happily responsible to create our lives wonderfully, as we use It with Love and Wisdom.

These are the people who understand how the Universal Life Force works, and they do not inhibit Its flow through them with limiting beliefs or negative notions about imaginary restrictions. Yes, imaginary restrictions! It is our creative imaginations that produce our life experiences, so we are wise to use this creative power constructively, never allowing any emotional or mental block to become a barrier to our divinely-designed expression of life.

Once we truly understand that the Universal Creative Process operates through us as our individual creative process, we realize that there is a Power and a Presence at work within us all, a beautiful, blessed Divine Activity that never ceases to keep us alive, healthy, happy, and strong. Let’s turn often to that Source of the generation and production of our wonderful lives. Happy 94^th birthday to my dear cousin, June!

The artist, the musician, the dancer, the chef, the writer, and the designer all draw inspiration from the same Source:  Universal Creative Intelligence.  It is everywhere present, alive within each of us, and delights in expressing uniquely through all of us. The very thoughts we think and emotions we feel have a creative capacity, and our consciousness goes before us into every project, relationship, and enterprise. In truth, we shape our personal and global experience as centers for God’s Power, most especially when we are fully aware that it is the Empowering Spirit within us that is the Source of all Creativity.

As we deepen our awareness of the Center of Love and Wisdom within us and enhance our interpersonal relationships, we find joy in working with other clear, caring, compassionate, creative people to improve our personal and community experiences.  In this Beloved Community, we pool our spiritual resources through classes, meetings, and gatherings, finding delight in working together in consciousness with like-minded people who are determined to make a healthy difference in our environment.  God loves expressing in such sacred circles, and we appreciate the wonders that show up. It seems to me that there is a Universal Substance that weaves together and underlies all creation. There is nothing as strong, eternal, and enduring as this Divine Essence. It is not material but Spiritual, not seen but evidenced in the material, and not temporal but constant. No surprises: This Substance is Divine Love, everywhere present, a healing, revealing Presence that is the greatest Power in the Universe.

Remembering that each of us was created from that Divine Love, we begin to understand that we are designed to be radiant Centers of Its precious presence. As Emma Curtis Hopkins stated, “Whoever has Love has Life, and radiates Life wherever they walk.” The more we consciously share this Nurturing Presence with others in the world, the grander and more glorious supply of It is able to flow through us.

Imagine the sweet difference we can make for our families, friends, and those not yet known to us by “feeding” one another this Spiritual Food. Moving away from all forms of “junk food of the mind,” we may choose to relinquish judgment, avoid criticism, and open our hearts to one another. It is then that we become emissaries of compassion, instruments of healing, and benefactors of Life Itself.

It is time we realized that each of us is a potential Center of Divine Love and Compassion, every one of us a beautiful instrument through which Spirit is ready and willing to flow, enhancing our own lives and uplifting others. In surrendering to this Source of Nourishment, our hearts open to the Presence, the Power, and the Peace of God. It is in the sharing of It that we touch the common chord of Unity that lies behind and within all supposed division.

Whenever we become aware of conflict or misunderstanding within or around us, that is the moment to take a deep breath and return to Source, letting go of the false images, and inviting that Divine Presence to lift us to a Higher Place. The embrace of Spirit brings deepening faith and growing peace and can change the external circumstances “in the twinkling of an eye.”
