June 10, 2024: From the Pen of Dr. Maxine

Dear Ones,

As we approach Father’s Day this Sunday, many childhood memories tend to emerge, some sweet and happy, and others unpleasant or disappointing. People tend to have a wide range of experiences, as the human condition holds so many kinds of relationships, some nurturing and supportive, and others less so. We tend to do the best we can with parenting, often “learning on the job!” Many of our fathers are no longer on the planet, and we keep those loving remembrances that maintain a healthy perspective.

Jesus called God, “Abba,” Hebrew for “father,” as he was deeply aware of being “the Beloved, in whom God was well pleased.” Knowing his oneness with Source, he also taught his disciples that they, too, were “the Beloved,” as we all are. One Spirit, animating all life, individualizing Itself in all humanity, is “father to all creation,” and has ordained that we are the originators of our life experiences.

One Mind, One Power, common to all people, makes it possible for us to make conscious, creative choices, uniquely expressing Spirit through using the Law of Mind for ever-growing Good in our lives and in the world. Infinite Intelligence is the starting point of all creation, and It is ours to use. We are all centers of conscious creation, so let’s choose wisely and lovingly.

Kudos and deep gratitude to Licensed Professional Practitioner, Zulma Gonzalez, who inspired our Beloved Community last Sunday, while Rev. Mike and I were in Oregon. We are so fortunate to have such wise and good friends in the area. This Sunday, June 15th, is Father’s Day. As we continue the monthly theme, “Making All the Right Choices,” our topic will be, “The Idea is Father to the Form.” Do join us at 1:00 P.M. at UCCVF, 45 Walker Road, Wayne, PA. If you are not in the Philly area, please be with us for our Celebration by tuning in at 1:00 P.M. and going to our website: www.cslphilly.org  and press the orange “Watch Online” button.

Whenever challenging or confusing circumstances may arise, a phone call to one of our Licensed Professional Practitioners can provide spiritual support that will bring clarity and inspiration. You may reach any of them on our website or on Sundays at Celebration. You may also place a request in the Prayer Chest on Sundays or request a “Three-Minute-Miracle” after Celebration on Sundays.

With great love and respect,

Dr. Maxine
