Dear Ones:
We will move directly from trick-or-treating to turkey and trimmings, as we complete October and enter the month of gratitude. We realize that all sense of thankfulness must begin within our own consciousness and that we, individually, are the blessing to ourselves, our loved ones, and our world. Last Sunday’s GPCSL Annual Community Business Meeting was filled with joy, gratitude, adventure, and possibility. We acknowledged our outgoing Board of Trustees members, President: Payson Burt, and Secretary, Suzanne Smethers, as well as Treasurer, Karen Davis. We voted in and welcomed our new BOT members, Trish Pettinati and Jerry Goard.
We understand that we are anchored in Divine Life with all Its Goodness and that we are the individualized channels through which this Goodness flows. Each member and friend of our Beloved Community brings the grace of our unique talents, our open hearts and minds, and the Presence Itself, manifesting through us in all we do. We are moving forward, heart-to-heart and arm-in-arm, as we bring our individual lights to our Shared Light and celebrate beautiful, new beginnings.
A Special D.S.T. Reminder for this weekend: Remember that we will Fall Back 1 hour before retiring on Saturday, November 1st. 😉
Join us this Sunday, November 2nd, as we begin a new theme: “The Gentle Art of Blessing.” Entering into the month of Thanksgiving, we begin with the awareness that, “You Are the Benediction.” Regular service begins at 1:00 P.M. and you may come at 12:30 P.M. to join the Practitioner of the Day for a 15-minute Meditation before Celebration. If you are part of our online Sundays, log onto our website, www.cslphilly.org and go to the orange Watch Online button to be with us virtually. Realizing there is neither time nor space in the Mind of God, we understand that our extended family members are a significant part of our Beloved Community.
Mark your calendars for Sunday afternoon, November 23rd when we will once again come together for our Thanksgiving Feast in Fellowship Hall. You know how great our cooks and bakers are, and we’ll all get to contribute to this warm and festive Community occasion.
Our Licensed Professional Practitioners are always standing by to offer a compassionate ear and an uplifting spiritual mind treatment. They are listed on their dedicated page on our website. Contact any of them for a personal appointment, whenever you may be facing a challenge in your life. They are also available on Sundays for brief meetings after service, and the Prayer Chest receives your requests for spiritual mind treatment.
With great love and respect,
Dr. Maxine
