Dear Ones,

Let’s remember that God’s Life is the Only Life there is to have or to be and that It is the very Life of each of us. Of course, it follows that we are all immersed in and expressions of that Life and that we can bring out the Authentic Self of each other, as we commune with Spirit and connect with our brothers and sisters. Not only is it satisfying to find ways to draw out the best in each other, but it is absolutely de-light-ful to bring our shared Light into the greater community.

Everyone wins when we clearly establish our oneness with this Divine Life and our deep connection with one another. Agnes Sanford, wife of an Episcopal Priest and author, wrote many books on spirituality, including one powerful one entitled, “The Healing Light.” In this book, she suggests that we “take our light into a person’s darkness” just long enough to lead them out of the darkness into the Light, not remaining there but showing them while maintaining our own shining consciousness.

Inviting the glowing, innate divinity within others to come forth is one of the most loving, joyous, and essential activities in which we may engage. We truly have the ability to open our hearts to each other with the courage to allow Spirit to elicit the Illuminating Presence within all to create a brilliant solution to every human condition.

Dear Ones,

When dealing with Unconditional Love, we realize that it is up to each of us to discover the Essence of Love innately within us and to radiate It to all, as we employ the Action of Love in the world. This does not require a specific object, simply a willingness to share this caring and compassionate activity freely and joyfully.  A good example of this selfless and generous action would be a lovely garden of flowers that gives off its fragrance and shares its beauty to all who enter.

The Beauty within us all is the Presence of Divine Life Itself, and we may access It through appreciation and observation, within ourselves, as well as within others. Being true to our Spiritual Nature, we must shine our lovelights, bringing more beauty into our lives and into the world. Let’s get in touch with our generous nature and pour forth our Love and Beauty to all we encounter.

Dear Ones,

We are cautioned not to “hide our light under a bushel.” In other words, it is divinely ordained that we express the unique and precious gifts of Spirit within us and not prevent that Spiritual Magnificence from experiencing fulfilling lives and making the world a better place for us all. There is no one exactly like you in the world, and you, like all of us, are needed to bring each special manifestation of the Divine into the world we all inhabit.

The Power for Good that indwells all life desires that we become aware of Its potency and possibility that must express through all creation, and we rely on this Power to self-actualize. Trusting the Presence which creates all out of Itself, we are wise to step up in consciousness and invite It to manifest through the instrumentation of our own beingness. We do God no favors by “playing small,” and it was the great Christian mystic, Meister Eckhart, who advised, “Let God be God in you!”

Dear Ones,

Now that we have entered into the glorious, new season of autumn, we look forward to many interesting activities. Sweet memories of summertime remain; yet, there is renewed energy within and around us, and we feel a yearning to move into a greater expression of Life. It is a very natural desire to seek for the Something More, and we are never completely contented until we finally discover what this longing truly is. Like a migrating bird, a globetrotting individual, or a child at summer camp, we must return Home.

It is in discovering the Path that leads us back to Source that we deepen our spiritual connection and learn each step that brings us to greater Peace and Possibility. Once we realize that no number of external delights and distractions can ever fill this need for a truly satisfying life, our contentment deepens and we become free to be nurtured, sustained, and guided by Divine Love and Infinite Wisdom. Let’s keep learning the Truth.

Dear Ones,

We often miss the bigger, truer picture by having too narrow a view of life, fueled by past experiences that were neither positive nor supportive. In learning to remove the blurry screen of false impressions that may obscure the true Divine Pattern, we become free to live in the Presence of Joy and Beauty.

In the midst of chaos, Peace exists. It is our willingness to perceive an ordinary circumstance from an extraordinary point of view that we become free to see and experience the Truth. The Unimpeachable Wholeness of the Universe is an eternal truth, never changing, forever singing Its message of health and wellbeing through all Its creation, no matter the temporary appearance.

Nothing external needs to change, in order for us to view the world through wiser eyes, perceiving Truth beyond error, and celebrating the Harmony that indwells and underlies all manifest form. Let’s learn to look through our “God Goggles,” seeing the Wholeness and Perfection that exists.
