To trust in the law of good is to constantly believe that we are surrounded by a Power which can and will cast all fear from our minds, free us from all bondage, and set us safe and satisfied in a new order of living.  ~ Ernest Holmes, Science of Mind, p. 482

The more we live in conscious unity with The One, the more easily we move from any sense of past limitation and create a free and inspired future for ourselves and others.  Now that we find ourselves in the beautiful, new season of spring, it is time for us to announce an expanded experience of greater living.  It is in the pronouncement of a new mental equivalent in any and every area of our lives that we are identifying with Source and wisely utilizing the Law of Growth to our advantage.

What are you ready to bring forth into your life?  Whether you are prepared to experience greater prosperity, more satisfying relationships, increased health, sharpened creativity, or all the above, this is the time to name it and claim it! Emma Curtis Hopkins spoke of “Truth on the Tongue,” and Florence Shovel Shinn told us that, “Your Word is Your Wand,” both these revolutionary New Thought women understanding and successfully proving the power of the Word.

Let’s not wait another moment to begin declaring our divine intention for ourselves and for the world.  As we enter into the Power of Now, connecting deeply with our Divine Source of All Good, the infinite possibilities begin rushing to us, often from unexpected avenues.  As we speak our truth about Love and Abundance and Wholeness and Creative Expression, the Universe says, “YES,” and what may have appeared to be a dream begins showing up as a delightful, new order of living.

Join us on our Sunday morning Celebrations, live-streamed at 10:30 A.M. Eastern Daylight Time this coming Sunday, as we bring you, “A New Season of Life . . . Now.”  Simply click the Live Stream link on our website: www.cslphilly.org either at the time we are there, or whenever it is convenient for you to view. We share music, prayer, and uplifting messages and love these opportunities to be with you virtually, until we can be together again. Rev. Mike and I send Love Notes from our living room Monday through Friday at various times of the day, and these can be accessed at any time using the same website link.

For any personal challenge, or simply to expand your consciousness of good, check in with one of our Practitioners or Practitioner Interns listed on our website.  They are here to help.

We know that thought is constantly changing, forever taking on new ways of expression.  It cannot possibly remain permanent.  It has to change.  Can we not, accordingly, change it to a better state instead of to a worse? ~ Ernest Holmes, Science of Mind, p. 216

Expanding and deepening our awareness of the Infinite Possibilities that are available to all of us, we gratefully and confidently awaken to the Power of Good, choosing to make wise and creative choices.  God is the Changeless, always giving generously of Its bounty of Light, Love, Life, Peace, Power, Beauty, and Joy.  Each of us is a center of this Divine Activity, always changing our minds and lifting our hearts to embrace greater Good in our world and larger Life in our lives.  It is wonderful to realize that life is not static, that we are able to make positive changes, as we become aware of being co-creators with God and change agents for good, personally and globally.

This past year we have moved through so many external deviations from what once seemed the norm, that we have learned to maintain our inner core of confidence in Spirit while negotiating so many different ways of adapting to these changes.  Although we may not be able to control such unwelcome surprises, we are fully capable of employing our minds and hearts wisely and lovingly with each conscious choice.

Last week, we focused on creating a new vision, for nothing promotes healthy transformation more quickly than shifting consciousness from limitation to freedom, and it always begins within.  Let’s welcome the time change, delight in the approaching change of season, and feel thankful for our ability to plant seeds of conscious change, as we continually invite an inspired future for all.

Our Sunday morning Celebrations continue to reach you via live streaming, and we will welcome you and your friends at 10:30 A.M. Eastern Daylight Time this coming Sunday, as we address: “Time for a Change.”  Simply click the Live Stream link on our website: www.cslphilly.org Our Community maintains its connection to one another and reaches folks far beyond, as we share music, prayer, and uplifting messages. Of course, these Celebrations are archived, as are Rev. Mike’s and my daily Love Notes, and can be accessed at any time using the same website link.

A dream is the bearer of a new possibility, the enlarged horizon, the great hope.     ~ Howard Thurman

When we dwell in the realm of infinite possibilities, we are no longer bound by human thought barriers; rather, we become bearers of expanded visions of eternity.  As radiant instruments of Divine Ideas, we are free to work personally and communally to develop what has never before been experienced.  The great gift of imagination is the key that unlocks every door of delay and removes any remnant of resistance.

We know that conceiving of a new idea and believing in it with fully-functional faith is the starting point to all creation, and we are designed to be those co-creators of the better world that is ready to be born and experienced.  Leaving the problems of the past and moving courageously into an inspired future requires an entirely new mindset, and we are the new Possibilitarians, equipped with the Divine Wisdom and Infinite Inspiration to bring a little more heaven to earth each day.

The continued, laser-like focus on a World That Works for All must ultimately accomplish greater unity, compassion, prosperity, and wholeness for all sentient beings and for the planet itself.  Let’s keep our consciousness in the realm of ever-increasing possibility of a new world dream coming true.

Join us each Sunday for our live- streamed Celebrations, as we begin a new theme for the month of March: “Open to Possibilities.”  Tune in just before 10:30 A.M. EST, by clicking the Live Stream link on our website: www.cslphilly.org  This has been a greatly appreciated connection for our Community and beyond, as we share music, prayer, and uplifting messages. This Sunday’s topic is, “What If . . .” Since the Centers for Spiritual Living 2021 theme is, “Timeless Wisdom; Evolutionary Vision,” we are reminded the importance of our participation in dreaming a new dream for the world!

Consider contacting one of our Practitioners or Practitioner Interns, listed on our website, as they are always ready to provide spiritual support for any human challenges.  Our archived Sunday Celebrations and Love Notes are also found on the website.

Sometimes a collapse is the only way to freedom.  Sometimes the pressure builds to such proportions that we have no other route to equilibrium . . .

We must therefore be willing to get shaken up, to submit ourselves to the dark blossomings of chaos, in order to reap the blessings of growth.

Both quotes by Gregg Levoy, Callings: Finding and Following an Authentic Life

As beautiful, true, and effective as our philosophy is, we do not pretend that disorder and upheaval do not occur; rather, we recognize the learning, the wisdom, and the transformation that can transcend the chaos and lead us into a greater consciousness of possibility.  I recently learned a word with Hebrew origins, Tohubohu, meaning “chaos” or “utter confusion.” I find this a very sayable word and one that captures the feeling of seeming to be lost in external uproar.

It is our very Principle which states that, “God is all there is, and each of us is an individualization of this Divine Presence, loved completely and generously, and directing a constant and reliable Law of Mind to bring about what we pray about.” It is as we turn to the eternal, changeless, radiant Truth of the Universe and of each of us that we are able to notice with some degree of interest the Tohubohu around us without being absorbed into it, transcending the unreal for the Real. Instead, we welcome its transforming power and enter bravely into true empowerment.

Next Sunday morning’s live stream Celebration features our wonderful guest speaker, Gregg Levoy, beginning at 10:30 A.M. EST, and accessible through our website: www.cslphilly.org  and his timely topic is, The Call of Challenging Times.  A powerful and interactive workshop by the same title will be held on Zoom from 12:30 – 3:30. Feb. 16, 2021: From the Pen of Dr. Maxine

“We move toward a kind of divine presence because, through our passions, we are utterly present.  We are utterly charged and focused.  We are oblivious, we forget ourselves, our troubles, our day-to-day living-on-Mulberry-Street lives.  We hitch ourselves to something bigger.”  ~ Gregg Levoy, Callings: Finding and Following an Authentic Life

Just as all of humankind continues its evolutionary journey, so we advance on our personal journeys at our own time and in our own way to greater and greater awareness of Spiritual Life and Its expression in our experience.  We find that the most powerful choice we can make in this process is to take each step with passion, enthusiasm, confidence, and joy.  It is as we bring such consciousness to the adventure that we not only succeed, but that we do so with growing happiness and delight.

Awakening from the false dream of separation and limitation, we enter more fully into the Reality of Infinite Possibilities.   Inspired from the Sacred Spirit within, and armed with Its Power, we wisely move forward with eagerness and clarity.  It is in the Oneness that we move into the spiritual passion which impels us forward. Honoring each individual path, including our own, we do not compare or contrast, simply experience gratitude for the perfect unfoldment of each one’s progress.

Emerson’s found his aunt’s admonition to, “Hitch your wagon to a star” an inspiring message that he shared generously in the 19th century.  It is still true and wise today, as we move forward with grace and power, celebrating the Spirit of Joy that impels us into greatness.  He also wrote, “Do not go where the path may lead; go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”  Let’s enjoy the journey and encourage each other on the way.

Join us each Sunday morning at 10:30 A.M. EST for our live streamed Celebrations, available through our website: www.cslphilly.org   They may be viewed any time during the week. The Love Notes that Rev. Mike and I send from our living room are also available on the website.  Centers for Spiritual Living theme for 2021 is, “Timeless Wisdom; Evolutionary Vision,” February’s theme is, “One Journey; Many Paths,” and next Sunday’s talk title is, “Your Personal Journey.” Enjoy being with us in the comfort of your own home, and do invite your friends to join in.

Check our website for our wonderful Practitioners and Practitioner Interns who provide excellent spiritual support and read about the great classes and workshops coming up.   Sunday, Feb. 28th, we have the pleasure of hosting the amazing Gregg Levoy, profound lecturer and author of many books, including, Callings, noted above.  He will speak virtually in the morning, then present a timely and powerful workshop on Zoom in the afternoon. Click here to Sign up as soon as possible.
