Feb. 16, 2021: From the Pen of Dr. Maxine

“We move toward a kind of divine presence because, through our passions, we are utterly present.  We are utterly charged and focused.  We are oblivious, we forget ourselves, our troubles, our day-to-day living-on-Mulberry-Street lives.  We hitch ourselves to something bigger.”  ~ Gregg Levoy, Callings: Finding and Following an Authentic Life

Just as all of humankind continues its evolutionary journey, so we advance on our personal journeys at our own time and in our own way to greater and greater awareness of Spiritual Life and Its expression in our experience.  We find that the most powerful choice we can make in this process is to take each step with passion, enthusiasm, confidence, and joy.  It is as we bring such consciousness to the adventure that we not only succeed, but that we do so with growing happiness and delight.

Awakening from the false dream of separation and limitation, we enter more fully into the Reality of Infinite Possibilities.   Inspired from the Sacred Spirit within, and armed with Its Power, we wisely move forward with eagerness and clarity.  It is in the Oneness that we move into the spiritual passion which impels us forward. Honoring each individual path, including our own, we do not compare or contrast, simply experience gratitude for the perfect unfoldment of each one’s progress.

Emerson’s found his aunt’s admonition to, “Hitch your wagon to a star” an inspiring message that he shared generously in the 19th century.  It is still true and wise today, as we move forward with grace and power, celebrating the Spirit of Joy that impels us into greatness.  He also wrote, “Do not go where the path may lead; go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”  Let’s enjoy the journey and encourage each other on the way.
