“And what is the spiritual world? And where is it? It is right here, could we but see it. Behind everything material, stands the spiritual, supporting it, and without which there could be no material.” ~  Ernest Holmes, Science of Mind, p. 452
In our lifetime, we have probably never experienced so many external changes, stressful situations, and confusing conditions as in the past year. Such unexpected occurrences, unlike natural, seasonal changes, have taken their toll, especially on folks who do not realize there is an underlying Place of Permanent Peace, a Divine Harmony and Wisdom that outlasts any temporary, external circumstance. Beneath the outer world of continuous change, an inner sanctuary of Universal Support is forever available.
It is this Dependable Source that inspires all transformation, beginning always at the center, then flowing outward. As we touch the Isle Tranquility within a sometimes ocean of upsent, our faith deepens, and new possibilities begin to arise. Going often to that Sacred Space ensures a steady and successful emergence from any false attachment to the relative situation and maintains our trust in a better tomorrow now unfolding. Our topic this Sunday is, “The Underlying, Supportive, Changeless One,” and you and your families and friends are inviting to be with us, either at 10:30, or anytime that may be more convenient for you.
Your Board of Trustees continues to monitor the latest guidance from CDC and, like you, are looking forward to the day we may gather again in person. We will bring you updates, as we also provide Sunday morning live-streamed Celebrations, classes on Zoom, weekly e-mail inspiration, and Love Notes from Rev. Mike and me. Click the “Watch Live” button on www.cslphilly.org to join in on Sundays, view previous Celebrations and Living Room talks, or just to scroll through our uplifting site.
You may contact our Practitioners and Practitioner Interns on our website to guide you through any challenges with spiritual support. Do l00k at their page on the website, call on them by selecting someone with whom you relate, if you ready for a faith lift.

“You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference and you have to decide what kind of a difference you want to make.”   — Jane Goodall

Even as we seek to connect with the Power for Good within us to expand our consciousness and improve our individual lives, so we are aware of Chief Seattle’s wise words, “Humankind has not woven the thread of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together.” It truly is not possible to claim a good for ourselves that we do not also desire for others, and our interdependence with nature is the foundation of equity, harmony, and life-giving energy.

We really needn’t “heal the earth,” as the earth is quite capable of healing itself.  Recall during the first stages of Covid-19, when people were staying home, and the air and waters were allowed to restore themselves, how sweet it was to see the stars and visit clear healthy lakes and oceans. It is we, ourselves, who are required to heal by making wiser decisions, resting in the natural, healing energies in which we partake, simply by being an integral part of this web of life.  There is a term called, homeostasis, which is the way our bodies, or the earth bodies, return to harmonious life expression when we cease interfering with them.

These are the powerful choices we are invited to make at this significant time, and, once we realize that our choices do impact those around us and the environment itself, the Infinite wisdom and Divine Love within us guide us clearly as to “what is mine to do today.”

As you scroll through our website at www.cslphilly.org, you will see classes and events coming up, as well as archived Sunday Celebrations and Love Notes from Rev. Mike and me.  Invite your friends to join us on Sundays, as we reach beyond physical borders to connect with people everywhere. Regrettably, we had internet challenges last Sunday with unsteady airing; yet, the entire Celebration is also available on the website and may be viewed at any time.

Until we are guided by CDC when we may wisely open our Center to in-person gathering, we continue meeting virtually, both on Sundays and for mid-week classes. We are grateful for the technology that permits us to continue to be together and expect to use this technology to maintain the live streaming even after we may be together again.

Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:22) Today, we know what this means. The renewing of the mind is a scientific act.  As the conscious thought pours truth into the subjective channels of creative energy, the body is automatically renewed this is mental healing.  ~Ernest Holmes, Science of Mind, p. 486

How special last week was, with our virtual Good Friday and Easter Celebrations!  Even our traditional “Bountiful Bouquet” went beautifully, and virtually, as we sent in photos of special flowers, and our Producer, Jeff Masino, compiled them all into a stunning collage with musical accompaniment.  Isn’t it amazing how this external challenge has brought about such brilliant creativity! There are so many ways for us to feel connected, fed, inspired, and together, and I am grateful for the faith, confidence, and flexibility we have all been experiencing and contributing to our Beloved Community.

We definitely have been moving through major transformation, personally and globally, and the energy of the past week assisted in lifting us above conditions to a greater reality and possibility.  Of course, as next Sunday’s topic explains, “It’s an Inside Job,” as everything begins in the unseen realm of Infinite Possibility and manifests in the visible, according to the mental image on which we have focused.  As we know, “If it’s to be, it’s up to me.”  That is not to say that we, of our human selves, are responsible to make anything happen; rather, it is up to us to invite this Holy Presence to work gracefully and powerfully through us, accomplishing whatever we now choose to experience.

Do scroll through our website to see, not only the classes and events coming up, but also the many Sunday Celebrations and Love Notes from Rev. Mike and me that are archived there.  Invite your friends to join us on Sundays, as we reach beyond physical borders to connect with people everywhere. As you click the Watch Live link on our website: www.cslphilly.org you will be directed either to Facebook or YouTube for viewing.

Our Board continues to meet virtually, discussing the important matters of our Community, monitoring the current health guidelines for in-person gathering, and looking toward a safe in-person opening when the time is right. Once we have established the safety and wisdom of returning to our Center, we will continue streaming these Sundays to you; and, even when we return, our plan is to continue in “hybrid” fashion, with both virtual and in-person Celebrations. Our archived Sundays and Love Notes from Rev. Mike and me may be accessed on that same link. We love sharing music, prayer, and uplifting messages for our Beloved Community and beyond.

The realization that God is personal to all who are receptive to the Divine Influx enables one to communicate with the Spirit, receiving a direct answer from It. This Jesus was able to do. He was able to balance the personal and the impersonal attributes of being, for the Law is only a natural force, while the Spirit is always Self-Knowing. ~ Ernest Holmes, Science of Mind, p. 363
We read how Jesus told his disciples that they were able to do the things that he did, clarifying everyone’s connection with Source, and establishing the Kingdom of God being within us all. Focusing this month on “Transformation,” we understand that all change begins in Mind and appears in the material world. The Precious Presence within us all is the place of new beginnings, so we “court the Presence” until we experience our oneness with It, then “direct the Law” to fulfill each divine idea ready to be manifest.
It is the open mind that receives guidance and the open heart that finds inspiration, as Jesus, the Master Teacher and Great Way Shower, showed us the way. What is ours to do is simply to invite Spirit to know Itself by means of the unique and beautiful instrumentation of our consciousness. Let’s celebrate personal and global transformation and follow the Great Example in our Easter Celebration.
Please join us this Friday at Noon for our “Metaphysical Interpretation of the Seven Last Words” as we air last year’s Good Friday service with sweet, contemplative time with inspirational words and beautiful cello music. It will be archived and available for viewing at any time. This lovely preparation for the Easter experience brings us to Sunday morning, as we live-stream our Sunday Celebration, “Spiritual Metamorphosis,” at 10:30 A.M. Eastern Daylight Time. We will delight in a virtual “Bountiful Bouquet” of your special making for Easter Sunday. As you click the Live Stream link on our website: www.cslphilly.org you will be directed either to the Facebook or YouTube channel for viewing.

The whole teaching of Jesus is to have faith and to believe. He placed a greater value on faith and belief than any individual who has ever taught spiritual truth. We are to believe in ourselves because we have first penetrated the invisible Cause back of the real self. We are to have absolute faith in our work, because we have positive conviction of the inner power which enables us to do this work.  ~  Ernest Holmes, Science of Mind, p. 450

The story of Palm Sunday is about courageous readiness for a divine mission, approached both humbly and powerfully, as the human connects deeply with Source, wisely decides to go beyond ego, and prepares for Sacred Work. You and I learn from the writings about Jesus that we are to become so entwined with the Living Spirit Almighty that we are willing to take a different path than others or than we, ourselves, have previously attempted.

The donkey upon which Jesus rode into Jerusalem represents his humility and lack of ego, as he entered the City of Peace triumphantly, guided by Spirit and committed to complete the Work he had come to do.  It was his total faith and deep connection with The Father, his Divine Source, that led him forward on this holy journey.  We, too, find ourselves capable of more then we ever knew and willing to venture into unknown territory when our faith is deep and our confidence profound. It is never, “I, of myself” doing anything but the Power within doing it all, and perfectly.

In aligning with the Source of Divine Wisdom, and feeling growing confidence in Its guidance, we are free to choose our unique paths of expansion.  We prepare for the experience of resurrection by entering humbly and victoriously into each divine pursuit.

We continue joining you every Sunday morning, as we livestream our Celebrations at 10:30 A.M. Eastern Daylight Time, and this Palm Sunday’s topic is, “The Road Less Traveled.  When you click the Livestream link on our website: www.cslphilly.org you will be directed either to the Facebook or YouTube channel for viewing.
