Mar. 23, 2021: From the Pen of Dr. Maxine

The whole teaching of Jesus is to have faith and to believe. He placed a greater value on faith and belief than any individual who has ever taught spiritual truth. We are to believe in ourselves because we have first penetrated the invisible Cause back of the real self. We are to have absolute faith in our work, because we have positive conviction of the inner power which enables us to do this work.  ~  Ernest Holmes, Science of Mind, p. 450

The story of Palm Sunday is about courageous readiness for a divine mission, approached both humbly and powerfully, as the human connects deeply with Source, wisely decides to go beyond ego, and prepares for Sacred Work. You and I learn from the writings about Jesus that we are to become so entwined with the Living Spirit Almighty that we are willing to take a different path than others or than we, ourselves, have previously attempted.

The donkey upon which Jesus rode into Jerusalem represents his humility and lack of ego, as he entered the City of Peace triumphantly, guided by Spirit and committed to complete the Work he had come to do.  It was his total faith and deep connection with The Father, his Divine Source, that led him forward on this holy journey.  We, too, find ourselves capable of more then we ever knew and willing to venture into unknown territory when our faith is deep and our confidence profound. It is never, “I, of myself” doing anything but the Power within doing it all, and perfectly.

In aligning with the Source of Divine Wisdom, and feeling growing confidence in Its guidance, we are free to choose our unique paths of expansion.  We prepare for the experience of resurrection by entering humbly and victoriously into each divine pursuit.

We continue joining you every Sunday morning, as we livestream our Celebrations at 10:30 A.M. Eastern Daylight Time, and this Palm Sunday’s topic is, “The Road Less Traveled.  When you click the Livestream link on our website: www.cslphilly.org you will be directed either to the Facebook or YouTube channel for viewing. Until we have established the safety and wisdom of returning to our Center, we will continue streaming these Sundays to you; and, even when we return, our plan is to continue in “hybrid” fashion, with both virtual and in-person Celebrations. Our archived Sundays and Love Notes from Rev. Mike and me may be accessed on that same link. We love sharing music, prayer, and uplifting messages for our Beloved Community and beyond.

If you find yourself experiencing a personal challenge, or simply desire to expand your consciousness of good, check in with one of our Practitioners or Practitioner Interns listed on our website.  They are here for you.
