Of all the things that exist, we breathe and wake and turn it into songMark Nepo

As a new month begins tomorrow, we find ourselves entering into many fresh opportunities to move forward into a  greater awareness of our infinite possibilities.  It is time to begin moving mentally, not only from summer to fall, but into an expanded vision for ourselves, our community, and our world.

Like many of you, Rev. Mike and I enjoyed a delightful, end-of-summer vacation and are fully charged and ready for the “new year” to begin.  We love teaching classes and find great wisdom in our bright, creative students, who not only learn and grow, but often share their insights with the group. Please consider joining us on line for either his “Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life” class of Saturday afternoons, beginning Sept. 11th, or my “Four Agreements,” beginning Tuesday nights, Sept. 14th.  Sunday Celebrations can be inspiring and uplifting; yet, it is in our classes that the deep work takes place, and our growth is satisfying.

Our new theme for the month of September is “Reawaken and Renew,” and that is exactly what we intend to do.  Next Sunday’s talk title is, “A Whole, New Year,” and we will also be looking at the significance of our Jewish friends’ Rosh Hashana celebration of their “new year.” Yes, it is time to breathe more deeply, wake more completely, and turn our lives into beautiful, new melodies.

Our Practitioners conduct a quiet, twenty-minute Meditation in the Upper Room each Sunday at 10:00 A.M., prior to Celebration, and you are welcome to join them before returning downstairs to greet your friends prior to our 10:30 A.M. Celebration.   We follow CDC recommendations, wear masks indoors, and use color-coded name tags to communicate people’s choices for the degree of personal connection or social distancing desired. Even though we are not yet singing or providing refreshments, it feels wonderful to be with each other. Of course, we will continue live streaming, as well. Join us in person or on line at www.cslphilly.org  and click on the “watch now” button, whenever you wish to view the Celebration or previous Sunday Celebrations and Rev. Mike’s and my archived “Love Notes.”

Our Practitioners and Intern are always ready to support you spiritually to work through challenges or move into new opportunities. Any one you select will be happy to hear from you and to work with you in spiritual mind treatment (affirmative prayer.)

With great love and respect,

Dr. Maxine

The real voyage consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes. ~ Marcel Proust

While Rev. Mike and I are vacationing in New England this week, we are certainly seeing our beautiful world through new eyes, discovering charming places and meeting interesting people.  We have the added pleasure of the company of our young adult grandson, Chris, making our adventures even more wonderful. He always expands our view in helping us explore our surroundings. Whether you may be traveling just now or at home, you are still able to see your world differently, simply by setting an intention to do so.

It is really not a matter of “setting the world right,” but “seeing the world rightly,” elevating our vision from the relative to the Absolute, willingly dissolving all barriers to the Unity of Spirit, and diving deeply into the Divine Presence within everything and everyone. We can take a vacation from preconceived ideas, negative emotions, and limited opinions, wherever we may be.  Let’s give ourselves the gift of seeing with new eyes, celebrating our spiritual vision, and delighting in a Higher Perspective.

Join one of our Practitioners for a quiet, twenty-minute Meditation in the Upper Room each Sunday at 10:00 A.M., prior to Celebration, then enjoy a moment or two to greet your friends as we gather downstairs.   It is sweet to be together again, as we follow CDC recommendations, wear masks indoors, and use color-coded name tags to communicate people’s choices for the degree of personal connection or social distancing desired. Even though we are not yet singing or providing refreshments, it feels wonderful to be with each other. Of course, we will continue live streaming, as well.  Be sure to be here in person or on line for Practitioner Sunday this week, as our capable Spiritual Team provides insight and inspiration with, “Endless Unfoldment.” Go to www.cslphilly.org  at 10:30 A.M. EDT and click on the orange “watch now” button, whenever you wish to join us on line.   Previous Sunday Celebrations and Rev. Mike’s and my “Love Notes” are archived there, as well.

The Practitioner Page on our website encourages connection with any of the members of our wonderful Healing Team to transform limitation to freedom, challenges to opportunities, and problems to possibilities. Any one you select will be happy to hear from you and to work with you in spiritual mind treatment (affirmative prayer.)

With great love and respect,

Place yourself in the middle of the stream of power and wisdom which animates all whom it floats, and you are without effort impelled to truth, to right and a perfect contentment.  ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson, “Spiritual Laws”

Wherever we may go in the world, when we are clearly established in the Stream of Spirituality, everything works together for our good.  We are nurtured by Love, guided by Wisdom, and moved by Grace.  Rather than attempting to control our environment, we simply swim in a Sea of Serenity, confident that we remain consciously connected to Source, and inspired moment-to-moment to enjoy life to the fullest.

Consciousness is portable, and our deepest and most profound beliefs prevail.  We can never be outside the Life Divine, and it is our conscious awareness that keeps us moving peacefully, productively, and powerfully throughout each moment of every day.  Never desiring to take a vacation from Truth, we sustain our dynamic and tranquil state of mind, whether at home or away.  God is all there is, so we submerge ourselves in this sacred space and bring the divine awareness to all with whom we engage and to every place we may be.  Yes, you can “take it with you,” and we do!

Our Practitioner of the Day leads a quiet, twenty-minute Meditation in the Upper Room each Sunday at 10:00 A.M., prior to Celebration, and you are welcome to join in.  Many of us are enjoying  being together again, as we follow CDC recommendations, wear masks indoors,  and use color-coded name tags to communicate people’s choices for the degree of personal connection or social distancing desired. We are not yet singing or providing refreshments; yet, it feels wonderful to be with each other. Of course, we will continue live streaming, as well.  This Sunday’s talk title will be, “Don’t Leave Home Without It.” Go to www.cslphilly.org  at 10:30 A.M. EDT and click on the orange “watch now” button, whenever you wish to join us on line.   Previous Sunday Celebrations and Rev. Mike’s and my “Love Notes” are archived there, as well.

Also check our website’s Practitioner Page if you wish to heal a situation, deepen your connection to Spirit, or simply desire to lift your consciousness. These dedicated folks are always ready to respond to you and work with you in spiritual mind treatment. Select one to contact, and they will be happy to get back to you.

The spiral of life is upward. Evolution carries us forward, not backward.  Eternal and progressive expansion is its law and there are no breaks in its continuity.  It seems to me that our evolution is the result of an unfolding consciousness of that which already is, and needs but to be realized to become a fact of everyday life.      Ernest Holmes, Science of Mind, p. 387

Indeed, we live in a Limitless Universe, offering Its Grace and Bountiful Expansion to all Its beloved creation.  Each of us is a divine entity in the One Life, growing step-by-step into a greater realization of our true identity, always moving forward and upward into a greater expression of that Life.  As we honor our own, individual path, time table, and mode of understanding and awakening, so we respect each person’s appropriate and timely development.

There is no reason to approach our progression with anything but confidence and joy, as each phase provides an open invitation for us to embrace more faith and appreciation for our ever-expanding consciousness.  As we read in scripture, “You are gods; you are all children of the Most High.” Psalm 82:6 It is time for us to claim and live from our Authentic Self, respecting each moment’s unfoldment with grace and gratitude.

If you wish to begin your Sunday experience with quiet meditation prior to our Celebration, join our Practitioner of the Day upstairs in the Prayer Room at 10:00,  enjoy connecting time downstairs with your friends before we begin at 10:30.  We are so enjoying being together again, as we follow CDC recommendations and use color-coded name tags to communicate people’s choices for the degree of personal connection or social distancing desired. Of course, we will keep you advised of updates, and it has been suggested that people wear masks at indoor gatherings We are not yet singing or providing refreshments, but it is a joy to be together after all these months. Of course, we continue reaching people around the world with our live streaming, as well.  This Sunday’s talk title will be, “Gracefully Growing in Consciousness.” To join us on line, simply go to www.cslphilly.org  at 10:30 A.M. EDT and click on the orange “watch now” button.  Previous Sunday Celebrations and Rev. Mike’s and my “Love Notes” are archived there, as well.

Wisdom is a living stream, not an icon preserved in a museum.  Only when we find the spring of wisdom in our own life can it flow to future generations. ~ Thich Nhat Hanh

As we continue deepening our focus on August’s theme, “Living in the Flow of Life,” we realize that every one of us is actually an illuminated instrument for the bountiful Life Divine, each needed to fulfill our personal destiny, as we develop our special talents, and give our unique gifts with joy.  It is our sacred and delightful duty to maintain a clear, open, willing channel through which Spirit may shine.

The Law of Circulation requires a steady flow of Life’s energy in and through us, sustaining us in perfect peace and power, and providing us with everything needed and wanted for the perfect fulfillment of the divine intention which resides within every heart.  How freeing it is to realize that all good comes from within, flowing through us with grace and ease, enhancing our personal lives, then spreading into the world to lift and bless all it touches. Let us be that Fountain of Life, Wholeness, Abundance, Love, and Creativity that we were designed to be.

As the sign in the store window reads, “Inquire within,” it is this inward glimpse that reminds us how central each of us to the inflow and outpouring of Life through us and how essential it is to experience ourselves as the point of power and creativity.  You and I are, indeed, natural springs of Spirit’s activity, fulfilling our innate desire to give and receive this Bountiful Life.

For a few quiet moments of meditation prior to Sunday Celebration, join our Practitioner of the Day upstairs in the Prayer Room at 10:00, then enjoy connecting time downstairs with your friends before we begin at 10:30.  It is lovely to be together again, and we find our color-coded name tags effectively communicate people’s choices for the degree of personal connection or social distancing desired. Of course, we will keep you advised on CDC notices, recently suggesting wearing masks at indoor gatherings, if people are more comfortable doing so .  We are not yet singing or providing refreshments, but how we love connecting with each other! Of course, we continue reaching people around the world with our live streaming, as well.  This Sunday’s talk title will be, “Be the Fountain.” To join us on line, simply go to www.cslphilly.org  at 10:30 A.M. EDT and click on the orange “watch now” button.  Previous Sunday Celebrations and Rev. Mike’s and my “Love Notes” are archived there, as well.

Our wonderful Practitioners and Intern are always ready to respond  to your requests and may be accessed on our website, where you will find their photos and contact information.
